The show opens with Joey Styles and Jerry “The King” Lawler each standing in the middle of a different ring. The crowd is deafening as Styles hypes the grave consequences of tonight’s main event. We go to a high-octane video package featuring highlights of the all the rivalries tonight set to "Bodies" by Drowning Pool. We are back as pyro explodes and Joey Styles & Jerry Lawler have taken their seats at ringside.
Rob Van Dam vs. Lance Storm (c) w/ Dawn Marie
The bell rings and both men start in separate rings, prowling the perimeter. RVD finally steps over the gap into Ring 1 and they lock up. Storm immediately goes for a side headlock, grinding his forearm into RVD's face. RVD shoves him off into the ropes, drops down, then leapfrogs a returning Storm. As Storm hits the opposite ropes, RVD catches him with a spinning wheel kick that sends the champion to the canvas. RVD immediately capitalizes, hitting a standing moonsault, but Storm kicks out at two. Storm rolls toward the no-man's-land between the rings to regroup, but RVD is right on him. RVD leaps onto the ropes of Ring 2 and springboards back into Ring 1 with a sidekick that catches Storm flush in the jaw, sending him tumbling across the gap into the second ring.
RVD follows him into Ring 2, but his aggression backfires. As he attempts a running spear into the corner, Storm moves and RVD hits the turnbuckle hard. Storm immediately kicks the back of RVD’s left knee, causing it to buckle. Storm spends the next several minutes systematically dismantling that leg. He slams the limb against the ring post and then drags RVD to the center for a brutal dragon screw. RVD is clutching his knee, but Storm doesn't let up, locking in a Canadian Maple Leaf. RVD is screaming in pain, clawing at the mat for over a minute before he finally manages to grab the bottom rope.
RVD manages to pull himself up using the ropes and hobbles into a desperation flurry, hitting a Step-over Heel Kick, and a Rolling Thunder to follow it up. RVD scales the turnburnckles, but Dawn Marie is on the apron! The ref is distracted, Storm hops up and delivers a low blow to RVD on the top rope! Storm scales the top rope and drives RVD down with a huge Superplex. He immediately hooks the injured leg and locks in the Canadian Maple Leaf, sitting back deep to apply maximum pressure. RVD is trapped in the center of the ring, his leg at a breaking point, and he has no choice and taps!
Winner and still WCW United States Champion: Lance Storm (2-1)Stasiak and Rection start with a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Stasiak hits a crisp dropkick and pauses to pose for the fans but Rection is right back up! Stasiak and Rection begin exchanging blows, and Stasiak hits the ropes looking for an advantage. Rection is ready and he catches Stasiak on a crossbody attempt, holds him mid-air, and plants him with a powerslam. Stacy Keibler is leaning through the ropes to distract Rection. This brings Blonde Bombshell into the ring and she brings Stacy into the ring by the hair! The catfight is on; they are pulling hair and rolling across both rings while the men brawl in the corner.
Stasiak gets a brief advantage for a while, as he nails a Reverse DDT on Rection, but there is no count as the referee is distracted by the women who are now brawling outside the ring. Stacy has locked Bombshell in a headscissors and is pulling at her a hair, but Bombshell ans fighting back, and she reaches out and rips the bottoms right off Stacy’s ring gear! Stacy shrieks in horror, covering herself as she sprints toward the entrance tunnel. Stasiak is standing in the ring, completely distracted by Stacy leaving. Rection kicks him in the gut, hoists him up, and drops him with a Gutwrench Sit-out Powerbomb! It’s over at 8:12!
Winners: Misfits In ActionBuff starts by posing on the turnbuckle, soaking in the boos. He stalls at the bell, but D'Lo charges and nails a forearm smash that snaps Buff’s head back. D'Lo whips him into the ropes and catches him with a sudden Sky High for a close two-count early on. Bagwell regains momentum by dropping D'Lo’s neck across the top rope. He’s slowing it down now, hitting a swinging neckbreaker and then locking in a deep bearhug to wear D'Lo down. D’Lo begins to battle back and fights Bagwell off, shoving him into the ropes and hitting Bagwell with a calf kick on the rebound. Both men are down and the ref does a double down count as both men get up by 7 and begin exchanging blows.
Bagwell goes for the eyes to get the advantage, and hits a swinging neckbreaker to take down D’Lo. Bagwell is already signalling for the end, he climbs the ropes for the Buff Blockbuster. Bagwell leaps, but D’Lo moves and Bagwell crashes and burns. D'Lo is heading to the top now, he takes flight and connects perfectly with the Lo Down! He hooks the leg for the 3!
Winner: D’Lo BrownChavo Guerrero Jr. has come down to the ring and is calling out Rey Mysterio. There’s no answer. Chavo gets on the mic and goes to declare himself the best luchador in the world, but before he can finish the arena goes dark and the mysterious mask flashes everywhere. A big pyro explosion and Rey Mysterio has come flying out of the stage, wearing a mask again! He looks in great shape and is being introduced, notably as Rey Mysterio and not Rey Mysterio Jr.
Chavo and Rey meet in the center of Ring 1 and immediately transition into a lightning-fast chain wrestling sequence. They trade waistlocks and wristlocks, with Rey using a breathtaking handspring to escape a hammerlock, only for Chavo to immediately ground him with a modified surfboard stretch. Rey fights out of the hold, catches Chavo in a headscissors, but Chavo rolls through the momentum, popping up into a standoff that brings the Boston crowd to their feet. Rey offers a hand, but Chavo kicks it away, only for Rey to duck a wild clothesline and send Chavo into the turnbuckles with a front dropkick. Rey doesn't let up, scaling the ropes and coming off with a 10-count punch in the corner. Chavo tries to shove him off, but Rey lands on his feet, hits the far ropes, and catches Chavo with a wheelbarrow into a bulldog. Chavo rolls into Ring 2 to recover, but Rey sprints across the bridge connecting the rings and takes him down with a spectacular somersault plancha over the top rope.
Chavo finds his opening by catching a leapfrogging Rey and planting him with a brutal tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Chavo immediately goes to work on the base, snapping Rey's leg against the middle rope and following up with a low dropkick to the knee. Chavo locks in a spinning toe-hold, mocking Rey's mask the entire time. Rey finally kicks Chavo off, sending him into the corner. Rey tries to hoist himself up for a springboard, but his knee buckles, allowing Chavo to scoop him up for the Gory Bomb. Rey battles though and counters into a roll up for a quick two.
Chavo and Rey are both quick to their feet, and Chavo charges Mysterio but gets tripped and lands draped across the middle rope. Rey shouts something, then bounces off the opposite ropes and runs towards the hung up Chavo. He grips the top rope and swings his body through the gap, kicking Chavo's face with both feet! Styles calls it the 6-1-9. Chavo staggers back into the center of the ring, Rey springboards off the top rope and hits a hurricarana into a tight pin, which Styles calls the West Coast Pop. 1-2-3!

Joanie starts with pure power, throwing Jazz across the ring out of a tie up. Joanie goes for a clothesline, but Jazz ducks and sweeps the leg, immediately targeting Joanie’s left arm with stiff kicks. Jazz hits a DDT for a 2. Joanie is battling back and takes Jazz out with a wicked clothesline and a big vertical suplex that gets a 2 of her own. Joanie manages a Gorilla Press Slam and drops Jazz hard. She looks for the Powerbomb, but Corino is back on the apron screaming at the ref. Joanie drops the hold to join the ref, yelling at Corino. While they argue, Jazz grabs the WCW Women’s championship which Corino had slid into the ring. Jazz cracks Joanie right across the forehead as she turns back! Jazz hides the belt, makes the cover, and we have a new champion!
Winner and New WCW Women’s Champion: JazzAfter the match, Jazz takes the belt and is celebrating with Corino, but Jazz sees an angry Joanie Laurer coming and bails. Corino doesn’t and eats a big kick to the nuts. Laurer then lifts him up and plants him with a Powerbomb and her music hits as she stands tall.
Team WCW (Booker T, BG James, Sean O’Haire & Shane McMahon) vs. The Foundation (Billy Kidman, Diamond Dallas Page, Kanyon & Mike Awesome)
The massive double-cage lowers over both rings as Booker T and Kanyon step into the door of Ring 1. They meet at the seam between the rings, trading stiff rights and lefts until Booker gains the upper hand with a jumping sidekick. Booker keeps the pressure on, grabbing Kanyon by the hair and slamming his face into the steel mesh, grating his forehead against the chain-link cage.
The buzzer sounds at the two-minute mark and Mike Awesome charges down the ramp for The Foundation. The numbers game is immediate; Awesome enters Ring 1 and levels Booker with a thunderous shoulder block. While Kanyon recovers, Awesome holds Booker upright so Kanyon can unload with unprotected shots to the ribs. Awesome then hoists Booker high over his head and military presses him directly into the side of the cage, leaving Booker crumpled on the canvas.
At four minutes, BG James enters for Team WCW to even the odds. He slides into Ring 1 and immediately unloads with his "Shake, Rattle, and Roll" combination, finishing with a big left hand that backs Awesome into the corner. James floors Kanyon with a swinging neckbreaker and his “Shaky Shaky” Knee Drop and helps Booker T to his feet. The four men split across the gap, brawling into Ring 2 as the double-team advantage is temporarily neutralized.
The timer hits six minutes and Billy Kidman joins the fray for The Foundation. Kidman enters Ring 2 with a missile dropkick that catches BG James in the back of the head. The Foundation retains control as Kidman and Kanyon work together to catapult BG James into the cage wall. In Ring 1, Mike Awesome continues to pummel Booker T, dropping him with a sit-out powerbomb that shakes the rings.
At the eight-minute mark, Sean O’Haire enters and provides the much-needed muscle for Team WCW. O’Haire clears Ring 1, hitting a massive spinebuster on Kidman and then catching Mike Awesome with a huge roundhouse kick as Awesome tries to cross the gap. O'Haire grabs Kidman by the belt and launches him like a lawn dart into the cage mesh, leaving the cruiserweight slumped between the ropes and the steel.
The final member of The Foundation, Diamond Dallas Page, enters at ten minutes. He slides into the ring with a steel chair hidden under his vest and immediately levels O’Haire with a shot to the back. DDP then delivers a quick Diamond Cutter to BG James as the veteran tries to stand. The Foundation stands tall, mocking the crowd, but the timer is still ticking for the final entrant.
The final member of Team WCW, Shane McMahon, sprints to the ring at the twelve-minute mark. He immediately tackles DDP, and with all eight men finally in the cage, War Games officially begins. The crowd is at a fever pitch as the ring becomes a whirlwind of bodies and steel.
The action breaks out across both rings as every man looks to make his mark. Mike Awesome catches Booker T near the turnbuckle and hoists him up, delivering a terrifying Awesome Bomb that nearly puts Booker through the canvas of Ring 1. As Awesome stands to gloat, Sean O'Haire cuts him off with a clothesline. O'Haire turns his attention to Kanyon, spinning him around and planting him with a devastating Death Spiral. Kanyon is out cold, but Billy Kidman saves the match by breaking up the pin with a low dropkick to O'Haire's face. In the confusion, BG James sneaks up behind Diamond Dallas Page, hooks the arms, and drives him into the mat with a vintage Pumphandle Drop.
The Foundation begins to rally as DDP staggers to his feet and catches a charging Sean O'Haire, twisting him mid-air into a Diamond Cutter that leaves the big man motionless. Seeing an opening, Kanyon grabs Shane McMahon and drives him face-first into the canvas with the Flatliner. The momentum shifts again when Booker T recovers, dodging a punch from DDP and catching him flush with a Scissors Kick that echoes through the FleetCenter.
High above the ring, Billy Kidman and Shane McMahon find themselves battling on the top rope and beginning to scale the chain-link. They trade punches on the precarious ledge until Shane knocks Kidman back. Seeing his teammates and opponents grouped together in Ring 2, Kidman decides on a death-defying gamble. He climbs to the very top of the cage and launches himself with a massive Shooting Star Press, wiping out the entirety of Team WCW in a spectacular collision!
The heavyweight war between Sean O'Haire and Mike Awesome spills into Ring 2, where they crash into the cage wall with so much force that the door fasteners finally snap. Both giants tumble through the opening and crash onto the arena floor. O’Haire quickly recovers, dragging a dazed Awesome toward the announcers' table and slamming his head into the monitors before laying him out across the desk.
Shane McMahon, still perched at the top of the cage after his battle with Kidman, looks down and sees the opportunity O'Haire has created. He stands balanced on the steel beam, looking down at Awesome on the table. With a defiant "Self High Five" mock directed at DDP, Shane screams and leaps, executing a massive Leap of Faith Elbow Drop that sends him crashing through Awesome and the table in a shower of splinters! Back in Ring 1, the distraction allows Booker T to seize control. Kanyon tries for another Flatliner, but Booker elbows out of the grip and catches Kanyon on the rebound. Booker hooks the arms and delivers a thunderous Book End into the center of the mat, covering Kanyon for the 1-2-3 at 19:41!
Winners: Team WCWAfter the big win, Team WCW goes and helps pick up a nearly lifeless Shane McMahon and the group celebrate.
