Biography

A legendary multi-sport star, Wahoo McDaniel brought legitimate toughness from the NFL to the squared circle. While he is an icon of the NWA Mid-Atlantic territory for his brutal battles with Ric Flair, his legacy in WCW was defined by his role as a respected elder statesman and fierce competitor.

He captured the United States Heavyweight Championship five times during the era that laid the groundwork for WCW, and his hard-hitting style influenced a generation of talent. In 1995, his immense contributions as a headliner and his status as one of the most respected warriors in the business were officially honored with an induction into the WCW Hall of Fame.
