Antonio Inoki

"Moeru Toukon"

Biography

A pioneer of the international wrestling scene, Antonio Inoki’s presence in WCW served as a vital bridge between the hard-hitting "Strong Style" of Japan and the lights of American television. While he is legendary for founding New Japan Pro-Wrestling and holding numerous NWA regional titles, his legacy in WCW is defined by his massive cross-promotional influence.

Most notably headlined by his victory over Ric Flair in front of a record-shattering crowd at the 1995 Collision in Korea event, Inoki's impact transcended borders. That same year, Inoki was honored for his contributions to the sport with an induction into the WCW Hall of Fame at Slamboree, cementing his status as one of the few global icons to be formally recognized by the promotion as a foundational legend.
